America's Next Top Model Episode 9 recap

Hi! This lovely fall evening I'm going to do another America's Next Top Model episode 9 recap. Let's start right away.

This episode started with us finding out which girl returned to the competition and Leila is BACK!!!! I was super happy that Leila came back to the show, because like I said in my previous posts that she is one of my favorite girls along with Laura and Nastasia. Also, when they showed on the screen that Leila was coming back, I so wanted to see Laura's face and when they showed her she was biting her nails. I find that kinda funny. Tyra annouced last week that girls were going to Jamaica.
So when the girls arrive to Jamaica, they're welcomed by six Jamaican male models. I loved Kiara's reaction, she was so ecstatic. hahaha. Anyways, so they arrive to this beautiful villa and they are welcomed by music and local dancers. Then Tyra walks out and says that this villa is their new home and mentions that she shot her first swimming suit calendrr in Jamaica. Later, Tyra, all the girls and all male models had a meal together and talked about posing. Also Korey, one of male models, flirted with Kiara and she was over the moon.
So this episode's challenge was basically a dance challenge. Girls had to make a routine, but also smize and tootch. All girls paired up: Laura and Kristin, Kiara and Nastasia, Leila and Victoria. To be honest, watching Leila and Victoria dance was pretty funny, because both of them are tall and skinny and a little bit akward, but of cource it's just my opinion. Kiara and Nastasia won the challenge, which was no surprise for me and they got this beautiful jewellery and like always a scholarship. By the way, I loved Jante' hat.
This week's photoshoot was on the river and the theme was that women is in the love triangle with two men. One of men was Rob Evans and another was their chosen Jamaican male model, who girls already knew. The photoshoot clothes and hair accessories were amazing. However I didn't like the fake eyelashes on some girls that much. But overall I really like the photoshoot, it was very fun and interesting. Also, when they showed Leila, she remined me of Brittany from cycle 8.
At the panel all girls and Tyra looked amazing in such a beautiful dresses. So let's talk about the pictures. First was Nastasia. I really liked the picture. Like Kelly said that Nastasia is getting better every week, and I have to agree with that. Next Leila, I loved her body language. I just wish that she didn't have those fake eyelashes, without them she would have looked so much better. Kiara's picture was nothing special. The same with Victoria. It cracked me up how Kelly described the picture. She said that it looked like advert for Celine Dion concert. hahah. Next Kristin, I loved her face, but the body language wasn't good. And last but not least Laura, again I have to agree with Kelly that in the picture she looked like a barbie. Not my favorite picture of Laura's.
The first called out girl was Nastasia, she got the best picture and the highest score. Victoria and Kiara were in the bottom two and Victoria was eliminated.

So that's the end of episode 9 recap. I'm excited for the next episode, because Tyra will be taking girls pictures.
Tell me in the comments what did you think about this episode. Are you happy that Leila came back to the competition? What's your favorite picture?

Have a nice day or evening!

All pictures were taken from cwtv.com.

  1. I love that Leila is back I hope she makes it to the finale; She knows how to “smeyze” and work her “tooch.” I really need to invest in a Tyra dictionary. I missed this episode because of my work schedule at DISH, but I love reading the recaps and checking out the girls’ photos. I recorded this episode on my Hopper and since there is so much DVR recording room I’m going to record the rest of the season. I wasn’t sure I would like having an eliminated girl come back into the house, but now that I know it is Leila I’m okay with the new system.
